Celebrate National Pancake Day 2020

At the end of last month, we enjoyed National Pancake Day! February 25th was the culmination of the two month campaign that IHOP hosts every year. Ten central valley locations supported Valley Children’s this year, including locations in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Merced, Dinuba, Hanford, Visalia, and Tulare.  In 2019 they raised a total of over $10,000. Donations go directly to providing life-saving medical treatment and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care to kids in need at Valley Children’s Hospital.

Our day started bright and early at our local IHOP at Herndon and Fresno. We were joined by ABC30’s Action News reporter Shayla Girardin and her camera man Matt who interviewed our miracle child Sariah and her father Albert Moreno as well as our Foundation President Rob Saroyan. Shayla was also joined by George the Valley Children’s giraffe and local title holders from the Miss California Organization. Shayla encouraged families to come out, enjoy free pancakes, and donate to Valley Children’s.

We are especially grateful to general managers Ambee Smith and Clarence Williams who went above and beyond to help the news stories look awesome! Thank you IHOP for providing hundreds of free pancakes – if not more – to many generous community members throughout National Pancake Day! We certainly appreciate all you do and look forward to this event every year!
