OPERATION RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS | Our Adventures for Random Acts of Kindness Week

When it comes to random acts of kindness, Valley Children’s is often on the receiving end of good deeds.  We are fortunate to have volunteers, donors, and supporters who shower us with acts of kindness all the time. So this year, we decided to participate in Random Acts of Kindness Week and do something kind for some of our biggest supporters.  And so began Operation Random Acts of Kindness…

Phase I:  After much deliberation, we decided to surprise ten of our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partners with handmade thank you cards signed by members of the Valley Children’s team.

Phase II: We recruited help from nurses, doctors, employees, and even patients and their families. By the end of the day, all the cards were filled with well wishes and thank yous to our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partners.

Phase III:  Phase three was our favorite part of the operation. We got to hand deliver the cards to our partners.  After opening the card and reading a few of the messages, Alejandro, a manager at Vallarta, exclaimed, “This is so awesome!”   We couldn’t agree more.

Debrief: Based on the reactions of both the givers and receivers of random acts of kindness, we think that Operation Random Acts of Kindness was a success! We encourage you to participate in Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17th too.
