Celebrating 2024 and our wonderful CMN partners!

As our team at Valley Children’s Hospital welcomes in a new year, we would like to express our immense gratitude to all our donors, volunteers, sponsors, and CMN partners for an incredible year of giving in 2024. There are so many wonderful achievements to celebrate from our remarkable CMN programs and partners, and we sincerely appreciate their amazing efforts. There have been numerous highlights of 2024’s fundraising, including many we’ve shared on our blog throughout the year. We’d like to shine a light on a few more of our programs and partners that have made 2024 a successful year!

Extra Life

Our dedicated group of Extra Life participants raised $33,711.62 for Valley Children’s Hospital in 2024! Extra Life gamers fundraised year-round, they also held events for Tabletop Games Weekend in April and Game Day Weekend in November at local gaming stores, Dragon’s Hoard and Crazy Squirrel. In November, Extra Life and radio DJ, Gnarley Charlie, hosted the third annual charity poker tournament at Club One Casino in Fresno. This year’s tournament raised an amazing $3,015 for Valley Children’s. What an incredible year! We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings for the Extra Life program.

Greek Partners

We are immensely grateful to our Greek partners from Fresno State, Stanislaus State, and UC Merced. Phi Mu chapters at Fresno State and UC Merced held various fundraising events throughout the year to fundraise for Valley Children’s. Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity at UC Merced held their annual Stand For The Kids Walk-A-Thon in October and raised $3,185.50! Our friends at Sigma Chi fraternity at Fresno State donated $10,000 raised in the Spring during the chapter’s annual Derby Days. In May, Phi Mu at Stanislaus State held their annual Warriorthon event, a CMN Dance Marathon event, and had a record-setting year raising over $18,000 for our hospital.  

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to each one of our partners for their dedication in helping Valley Children’s provide the best possible care to children in the Central Valley. We are incredibly appreciative of our entire community for believing in us and helping us stay true to our mission and we look forward to continuing our work with all of our wonderful CMN partners in 2025.
