Costco: Month of Miracles

This month, we had the pleasure of hosting our nine Central Valley Costco warehouses (including the recently opened Riverbank location!) at Valley Children’s Hospital for a celebration of their 2024 accomplishments, a hospital tour, and a check presentation. Local Costco managers and associates saw firsthand the powerful impact of their fundraising efforts during their visit. During the presentation, they took part in an engaging musical activity led by our music therapist, Mara Baldwin, and gained insight into groundbreaking medical advancements from Dr. Jeremy Woods, Geneticist and Medical Director of the Precision Medicine Program.

During the visit, associates also met our 2025 CMN Champion, Sylus, and his mom, Sarah, who shared Sylus’s touching journey. The group toured several of our critical departments, including Cardiology, NICU and Emergency Medicine, where our clinical staff explained their department’s work and the impact of fundraising.

May is “Month of Miracles” at Costco and our friends at eight Central Valley warehouses did an amazing job raising critical funds for Valley Children’s Hospital last year. We proudly celebrated the eight Costco warehouses that raised an incredible $706,467 in 2024 for our hospital — with three standout associates each raising over $10,000! George the Giraffe joined in on the celebration and took pictures with his friends from Costco!
