Leveling Up: Extra Life Gamers Hit Big Milestones

The Extra Life program unites gamers (both in-person and online) to raise essential funds for their local CMN hospital, and our Valley Children’s Extra Life community continues to amaze us every year with their dedication and their innovative ideas. We’d like to highlight a few of our Extra Lifers who have had some incredible achievements in 2025.
We are truly honored that the schools, students, and faculty of the Tulare City School District voted and selected our Extra Life team, Heroes Play Games, as the beneficiaries of their fundraising efforts from the 2024-2025 United For Good t-shirt sales campaign. Together they raised $14,157.04! We are so grateful to everyone at Tulare City School District who participated in this year’s fundraising.
The Heroes Play Games team- Mark Garcia, Chris Garcia, Marcelo Alves, Diego Corona and Martin Nogues has consistently been one of our top Extra Life teams, raising funds for Valley Children’s Hospital through gaming for over 10 years. The Heroes Play Games team has now raised an incredible $55,170 for Valley Children’s Hospital in their 10 years of fundraising! We congratulate the team on reaching this impressive milestone and we thank them as they remain so engaged and dedicated to helping local kids.
We’d also like to highlight our gamer and streamer Jason Luna (jLUNAtic88) for raising over $4,000 so far this year, already beating his 2025 fundraising goal! Jason has been raising funds for Valley Children’s Hospital through Extra Life for 8 years (with a lifetime total raised of $18,168!) and has consistently been one of our top gamers every year. Thank you, Jason, for being an incredible ambassador for our Extra Life program and helping the Central Valley kids we serve!
Since 2010, our Extra Life participants have raised over $330,000 for Valley Children’s Hospital! Our dedicated group of Extra Life participants raised $33,711.62 for Valley Children’s Hospital in 2024, and they’re off to an incredible start in 2025, raising almost $20,000 in the first half of the year. We’re looking forward to what our gamers have planned for the rest of 2025, including national Game Day Weekend in November!
