Walmart and Sam’s Club Campaign 2022

Central Valley Walmart and Sam’s Club began their fundraising efforts on June 13, for CMN Hospitals, to support Valley Children’s. Historically, Walmart and Sam’s Club have done an amazing job raising over $5 million for Valley Children’s Hospital. Throughout the four-week campaign these partner locations planned, prepped, and executed a plethora of events and tactics to try to maximize the four weeks in benefit of our local children. Store Champions, managers, and associates all rallied behind the cause volunteering their time to help heal children.

The campaign got off to a great start during the first week with various Walmart and Sam’s Club locations implementing fun ideas to help kick start their fundraising! Our Walmart stores in Selma, Dinuba, Visalia, and Porterville used costumes and beautiful decorations to capture the attention of potential donors.

Store #5890 in Atwater hosted an activity-packed carnival in which they welcomed miracle child Addisyn and her family. Addisyn participated in an array of activities such as face painting and corn hole. She even invited other children from the community to join in on the fun. The associates provided a store tour for Addisyn and gave her the opportunity to help at the register! It was truly a memorable summer day for Addisyn!

The summer heat allowed for some fun ideas to raise store associate donations! Walmart Neighborhood Market #3047 in Turlock held an ice bucket challenge for managers and coaches. The idea certainly peeked employee engagement while increasing donations for our children!

Car shows, carnivals, food truck setups, associate challenges, and costumes of all kinds captivated the attention of people across the valley! Walmart and Sam’s Club did a fantastic job over the span of the campaign to continue to support Valley Children’s Hospital and improve the lives of children all across the Central Valley.
