Extra Life Works and Plays Hard 

November is an important month for Extra Lifers, as we all know. For the Fresno/Visalia market November is crucial holding National Game Day and our annual charity poker tournament with Club One Casino. 

National Game Day Weekend 

The Extra Life team delivered an amazing Game Day weekend! Some hosted live game streaming for hours on end. Local gaming stores like Dragon’s Hoard and Crazy Squirrel did a phenomenal job of hosting large groups of gamers and demonstrating what Extra Life gaming is all about! Our Extra Lifers began Game Day Weekend at $7,589 and ended at $20,438! Based on those numbers the team raised $12,849 over the three day period! Fantastic work. It was really fun popping in on the numerous live gaming streams and visiting our local gaming stores. Our Extra Life team makes such a huge difference, helping us continue to provide top care for our kids in the Central Valley! Various incentive prizes were available for top fundraisers throughout the weekend along with one major prize for our top fundraiser for the entire weekend.  

Charity Poker Tournament 

On Friday, November 17, a charity poker tournament was held at Club One Casino in Fresno, benefitting Valley Children’s Hospital. The event was our second annual charity poker tournament and was hosted by local radio personality Gnarley Charley. 

Over 30 players participated in the tournament, competing for over 3 hours, during which they displayed remarkable generosity and commitment in their support of Valley Children’s Hospital. All participants, staff and players alike, were dedicated to making the event a success and contributing to the goal of improving the lives of our local children. 

The players at the final table walked away with some amazing prizes from our generous partners at ACE Hardware, and the top 2 finalists went home with Derek Carr signed memorabilia.
