25 Years of KISS Country Radiothon!
The 25th anniversary of the KISS Country for Kids Radiothon finally arrived! The two-day event began on September 7 with incredible 93.7 Kiss Country radio talent, excited volunteers and compelling stories from patients and families served at Valley Children’s Hospital. Listeners in our community tuned in early to hear our miracle families share all about their experiences at Valley Children’s. The team encouraged listeners to call in or text to make their donation.
Live from our phone bank, volunteers from local companies, as well as hospital staff, took calls from the community, family members and friends making donations to save the lives of children. The generosity of our donors soon became evident as the phones began to ring.
As day one progressed, we saw volunteers from multiple organizations working the phone bank with an abundance of motivation. They informed callers of our vario donation incentives. Callers who donated a minimum of $70 would get a George the Giraffe plushy to celebrate our 70-year anniversary. Also, for $20/month for a year or a $240 minimum donation, donors would receive a free Miracle Maker t-shirt and a George the Giraffe plushy. Lastly, a $1500 donation would earn donors their name engraved on a gold plate on an awesome red wagon. Our precious patients enjoy these wagons for transportation around the hospital.
Friday, September 8, day two: was incredibly fun! During donation-match hours donors made a significant impact! A bidding race for the Derek Carr jersey ensued and ended at the very last minute with the max bid reaching $3,000! The community truly rallied behind our event to make miracles happen for our children of the Central Valley.

The final dollars were counted! The KISS Country for Kids Radiothon raised $86,642.68 for Valley Children’s Hospital! Thank you, Central Valley, for your support. Every dollar raised will benefit the children and families that walk through our doors every day.
